I just started College a month ago and also started the birth control pill about that time and have put on a couple of pounds. Nothing to worry about but I don’t want those 2 pounds to turn into 20. I’ve heard negative and positive things about detox diets. I’m just curious what your opinion is on it.
Detox diets are quackery, plain and simple. Not only is there no scientific evidence that detox diets work, there’s no scientific evidence that the problem they’re supposed to solve is real.

They don’t do anything but make you go to the bathroom. The science is hokey. You won’t lose an ounce of fat and any benefit you gain by sitting on the toilet can be had with a high fiber, healthy diet. Detox diets are the latest fad/scam.
