<br />sample size n is (t/b)^2 s^2, where t is critical value for conf. level (here 1.96), b is margin of error<br />
(here .02), and s^2 is variance in population (here p(1-p)=.27(.73)=.1971).</p>
<p>So n=(1.96/.02)^2 (.1971) = 1892.9, and round up to 1,893</p>

<br />Well &#8211; if you want to gain blubber, eat lots of sugar and junk like cereal and rice and potatoes.  If you want to gain muscle and bone, eat Atkins &#8211; that&#8217;s meat, eggs, cheese, nuts and green salad.  Most people think of it as a REDUCING diet &#8211; but it doesn&#8217;t have to be.  It&#8217;s just good food &#8211; with an absence of garbage food.  It&#8217;s also cheaper overall than garbage food.  </p>
<p>Get a used copy of &quot;New Diet Revolution&quot; off of Amazon Books &#8211; Atkins can walk you through how the deal works.  When you quit eating the sugar, you also feel a lot better.</p>

<br />Honestly, OTC diet pills don&#8217;t work. If anyone tells you otherwise, they are misinformed. There are prescription appetite suppression meds but you need to see a doctor to determine if they are an option for you.</p>

How so?<br />
<br />The first 2 weeks when foods are limited you still eat a high fiber diet  &#8211; just these 4 foods which should be eaten daily during induction, gives you 33.5grams of dietery fiber &#8211; well over the RDA of 25g &amp; much higher than the Standard American Diet.  After 2 weeks, you are allowed almost all nonstarchy vegs (less than 25g net carbs in week 3)</p>
<p>21g total carbs &#8211; 13g fiber &#8211; 8g net carbs &#8211; Lettuce, Romaine- 1 head<br />
12g total carbs &#8211; 8g fiber &#8211;  4g net carbs &#8211; Celery &#8211; 4 cups chopped<br />
6g total carbs &#8211; 4.5g fiber &#8211; 1.5g net carbs &#8211; half an avocado<br />
8g total carbs &#8211; 8g fiber  &#8211;  .5g net carbs &#8211; Flaxseed 1 ounce 4T<br />
&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8211;…<br />
47g total carbs &#8211; 33.5g fiber &#8211; 14g net carbs</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>What is a solid workout and meal plan for me to kick off now that summer has started? I&#8217;ve fallen way out of shape, but I want to get back into it! I&#8217;m 19, 6&#8217;1, and 185 pounds if that helps any.<br />
P.S. I work 6-11 on most nights and have dinner when I get home. I suspect that is a big reason why I&#8217;ve been gaining the pounds as of late &gt;.&gt;<br />
<br />okay, to get into shape , speed up your metabolism, rid yourself of excess fat and lose weight ,,,,,do as follows:</p>
<p>Stop drinking &amp; smoking (if you do this regularly)<br />
eat fruits &amp; vegetables all you can (buy a food/rice steamer to make it easy on you)&#8230;(vegetables are not tasty, like junk foods,, but can be as you aquire your taste to them..and are loaded with energy and nutrients)&#8230;avoid all junk food, cokes, sweets, etc&#8230;and drink water . If you eat meat ,,eat only steamed fish or chicken.</p>
<p>also, do an hour of walking each day at least. or some type of excercise.</p>
<p>* you should lose about 10 lbs per month</p>

Also, he is not a drinker any any sense, but he likes an occasional beer now and then. What precautions should he take?<br />
<br />His remaining kidney will work just fine with no changes to diet. Many people live with one kidney &#8211; and have no problems. Your father can eat whatever he likes, and an occasional beer will make no difference. He&#8217;ll be fine.</p>

<br />I think its possible , might be you take double time but its possible to lose such weight. You might try to lose your weight fast but not advice able as that can cause negative affect on your body. The best way to control your weight is to control it using your diet and exercise. Diet pills are not the good option. You had to make a proper plan about you diet and exercise and follow it strictly for this consult some expert so he can suggest you better depending upon the needs of your body.</p>
