Does anyone have any dieting suggestions that actually work?

May 30th, 2010 10 comments

I am a 27yr old female with 2 children ages 3 and 1…..does anyone have any dieting suggestions that actually work? I am needing eating ideas that would work well with me and my family, as well as activities I can do with my children?
I try to walk about 5 miles a day. I really need to lose between 20-25 pounds to be at a healthy weight.

Don’t think of it as dieting first off. Think of it as a lifestyle change because if you want to get the weight off and keep it off you have to be willing to change forever. I found that cutting my fat down to 35 grams a day and calories to about 1500-1600 has made a big difference. Once you hit your goal weight bump it back up to between 60-65 grams of fat and your calories between 2000-2500 depending on how active you are. Also being very active has helped too. Activities you could do with the kids would be to go for walks to the park or go swimming since summer is almost here. Get out and run with them. Also I joined the Y and go work out whenever I can. Luckily my family is very supportive and I have lots of people offering to babysit and I manage to go 5 days a week. In less that 3 months I have lost 30lbs and I feel great. When you make meals try to have a main course, fruit and veggies with very little to no butter. IF I need butter I use a light margarine and only use like a teaspoon. Cut back on your salt also and drink TONS of water to help you stay full and hydrated. Avoid sugary drinks as much as possible. One cup of 100% fruit juice a day would be fine but try to avoid soda. I do drink a regular one every now and then but if I really need the caffeine I try to go diet. Good luck and I hope you reach your goals.

I am trying to lose weight. I am 5’9 175 lbs. My goal is to be at 145lbs.

I am so tired. I dont want to run and have my blood sugar drop, which it does sometimes.
What is a good meal plan?
I am not trying to strave myself, I want to eat healthy and feel full and still have energy to jog.

Easy way to lose weight is daily walk & good diet
Morning : 1 glass hot skimmed milk and 2 toasts
or omlet wihtout yellow(coz yellow is fat weight is good for ur bones)
afternoon : first eat vegetable salad as the body takes fat fast when u r hunger then eat chicken with rice or bread and a juice is good as dessert(orange or apple)
evening eat before 7:00 a veg salad a´nd chicken without rice or bread .,as night time u sleep (u dont have activity to do ,when u eat more at nights then u turn so fat)

Final thing
Cutout deep frieds like burgers ,pizzas and fat items like butter cheese ,maionase etc etc

cut out colas ,pepsi’s drink more water ,yoghurt its healthy

when u cant control hunger then eat as many fruits and carrots u like ,drink more water its really good for ur health

its not just words by experience i am saying , i tried and succeeded, i am so healthy now and i losed 6 kgs in 2 months

one more good tip i can give u.,drink honey and lemon with water early in the morning before breakfast ,1 tea spoon honey and 10 lemon drops

do daily like that

note : do not mix honey with milk it turns in to fat
when u mix it with lemon it works as fat killer

i wish u good luck

How can I incorporate exercise and healthy eating into my daily routine? Any specific meals or exercises?

May 30th, 2010 2 comments

I know that I need to change my diet and get an exercise plan together, but I have no idea where to begin. I’m at work or school most of my day, so I don’t have a lot of time to plan healthy meals or have a strict exercise routine. Any advice about generally eating better, and how I can incorporate exercise into my daily routine? Does anyone have meal ideas that are healthy and easy to make? Are there any specific exercises or routines anyone would recommend?

all you have to do is 45 minutes of cardio five days a week and cut calorie intake down to 1600 calories in 8-12 weeks u will feel and look greAT

hi
Try this link ,it has a lot of information on weight loss tips so here goes ,
If you are serious about losing weight, the calories in the food you eat should be less than the energy you use. You will have to increase your metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will lose weight faster. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/m7ckx

What diet should I feed my dog with cancer?

May 30th, 2010 7 comments

He has had surgery for hemangiosarcoma, and I want to prolong the life he has left.

I’ve just switched him to a raw diet combined with all protein and vegetable kibble. No grains.
Yes, I have talked with the vet and he suggested a few different diets. I am looking for peoples’ experiences.
I"m also giving him 1000 mg of Omega 3 a day.

O my goodness I asked the same question last week.
Im so sorry your dog has cancer, I know what youre going through and it will be ok.

I make my dogs food as well, as this is the best way to control the cancer. And I give her Orijen grain free kibble if shes still hungry at night.
I mainly feed chicken and just add vegetables I have on hand, like celery, zucchini, potato etc (but not sugary ones)
So far youve got it right, No Grains. These turn to glucose which feeds cancer cells.
You also want to limit naturally sugary vegetables like carrots and pumpkin, and only feed fruit on occasion if you want.

Look up the cancer starving diet, which limits the amount of glucose you give to a dog because cancer cells need glucose to survive.

Here are two GREAT sites

Cancer Diet

EDIT: I also add NUPRO supplement to her food, which completely balances the meal, as well as Salmon Oil.
It is good to make sure your dog gets a lot of Protein and good fatty acids like Omega 3.

GOOD LUCK

Where can I find a healthy dieet plan that tells me EXACTLY what to eat on a daily basis? b.fst lunch & dinner

May 30th, 2010 3 comments

I got a booklet in the mail called Campbell’s Soup for Life Plan and that has all ready planned out 1200 calorie menus for 5 days, but I just don’t trust eating Campbell’s soup on a daily basis. I mean, wouldn’t that be too much salt in a day? So I’d really like to find a helathier eating program / plan if possible. Anyone know of a better one that has menus for a whole week including EXACTLY what to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner? I really want to eat as healthy as possible. Thanks!

The south beach diet it GREAT! And there is also Turbo Jam. Great fun exercise with diet plan. But I would try south beach diet first.

May 29th, 2010 25 comments

Week 2 will begin by you spending a few minutes setting your alarm/ reminders of when you need to workout and eat. Remember you want to make sure to wait one hour after finishing cardio before you eat. So plan your meals around cardio. Please post comments and questions.
