Somaya Reece – Weight loss tips that work (protein shakes & eating habits)

For healthy recipes VISIT: www.MissReece.com
I’m tired of reading all of these false diets and false weight loss tips that are NOT ideal for real people. Real people have jobs, not enough time to workout, and cannot spend money on all of these phony fad diets. I lost over 21 pounds and am still losing without dieting. I started focusing on losing weight last year a little before September of 2011. It took a few months to get into a fully focused mode. When I focused I lost the weight! I didn’t gain weight because I was eating bad. When I moved to New York it became extremely difficult to work out because the lifestyle is so different here as opposed to L.A where I hike everyday. I didn’t do it with a diet or pills and I was able to keep my curves. It’s been a fun transformation for me. I had a “make under” 6 weeks ago, a breast reduction. I haven’t been able to work out, because of it I had to learn to adjust my eating to maintain the weight I have lost which is what motivated me to share my journey in these wight loss blogs.

This first blog I discuss protein shakes, bars, cooking and the unfortunate Hollywood pressure many women suffer which makes them want to get skinny or alter their bodies to fit in.

Get healthy not skinny!

I have also added a few before and after pics. I know those are always helpful.

I hope you enjoy my series of weight loss blogs. This is one of many to come 🙂

Bill Phillips Transformation Solution Program Out of the Box Review

May 29th, 2012 No comments

Health and Fitness Plan http://www.FitTVo.com/2c/transformation Transformation Solution Program by Bill Phillips the original author of Body-for-LIFE® . A healthy eating meal plan, now in a complete Transformation Solution that is designed to increase your fat loss healthily and transform the way you think about your body and your life.

I wanted to give you a special behind the scenes look at Bill Phillips Transformation Solution Program. This video is only a few minutes long so I am very quickly going to quickly cover all that is included.

I thought the best way to do that would be to actually take you inside the entire Transformation Program including the private membership site and give you a guided tour – so that’s what we are going to do.

The basic weight loss program is broken into several parts and each one focuses on a particular topic and you’ll be shown all that stuff step by step.

There is a very active online community in the Transformation Solution membership area where moderators, coaches and Bill Phillips himself will help you along the way.

http://www.FitTVo.com/2c/transformation

In a nutshell

The first step begins with a proven, practical and fun activity program that requires less than 2% of the time a person has available to them each week.

From there, Bill will introduce you to a scientifically safe, balanced and very practical way of nourishing your body with the right foods. There is no starvation, no crazy diet just a nutritious way to feed your body so it will burn fat, overcome food addictions, and stop cravings.

Bill Phillips will guide you through a step-by-step plan to help you transform everything behind the scene that has been your roadblock until now. Transform your unhealthy thoughts, emotional blocks, addictive habits and other factors that are known to trigger the difficulties you have battled with in the past. http://youtu.be/bgMpcXzys6E

Online Cooking Lesson – Fresh Parsley Hummus

May 22nd, 2012 No comments

Recipe and Class Notes: http://www.healthyeatingstartshere.com/lessons/online-cooking-lesson-hummus

You might be thinking to yourself, ‘why is this an hour-long video to make a 15 minute hummus?’ Well, it’s more than just making a hummus recipe.

I go over the basic outline of making a bean dip so that you can easily come up with your own variations, as well as the nutrients provided by all of the ingredients in this healthy recipe.

I get into the nutritional difference between canned and dried beans, and the important points to keep in mind when you’re buying a can or when cooking your own dried beans.

This class is kind of a preview of what I put together in my online cooking classes members-only site, where I get into 8 different topics with 3 different recipes for each.

What are the most interesting diets people are looking information for?

May 21st, 2012 2 comments

I’m searching for the diets people are interested in but cannot find much information.

You’re just asking to be spammed with this question. Search for fad diets and see how many thousand come up. Atkins, Paleo/raw foods, South Beach, Master Cleanse, Special K/cereal, and 17-Day are ones I’ve seen here recently.

What is the perfect meal plan for humans?

May 21st, 2012 2 comments

Not a meal plan to loose weight or gain muscle. Just the perfect meal plan for someone of the age of 15 who wants to live healthfully. I run for around 45 minutes regularly and as a result am lean and fit, however never know just what to eat. I want a meal that is natural, simple and good for me.

I’ll give you something to check out, although it’s not for the faint of heart. It’s based on the original diet God gave to mankind in Genesis 1:29, basically fruit and vegetables, mostly raw.

Why would someone eat like this? Many have seen serious physical conditions such as cancer just go away after making such a radical change. Others find lots of side benefits, such as just feeling better, more energy, don’t need to use deodorant any more…

If you find the whole program a bit much, parts of it may be all you’d want to consider at the moment. If you try it, be sure to read the recommendations for younger people, because the requirements change a bit for growing bodies.

Have fun…

How does weight loss occur if I eat more calories than I burn?

May 21st, 2012 5 comments

I just don’t understand how its possible for me to lose weight on my 1700 calorie a day diet if I can’t accomplish to burn as much calories on my workouts. Wouldn’t I gain weight if I don’t eat less than I burn? They say your are constantly burning calories but how much? Does anyone understand the concept of weight loss

You have a high BMR. You burn calories during exercise, and you burn calories when you are sitting down and watching television. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest.

How can I create a healthy diet to lose weight?

May 21st, 2012 3 comments

I want to lose about ten-twenty pounds and in order to do that, I want to eat extremely well, eliminating foods from my diet. However, I’m sort of an idiot when it comes to healthy eating.
What foods can I eliminate from my diet to make me live better? Should I cut bread/ butter/ grain? I don’t know. I want to do a radical but temporary diet in the beginning.
I’m also a vegetarian.

Losing 10 lbs a month is a good and safe target. Any faster weight loss is likely to be temporary only and in most cases you regain it all.

Running, jogging, cycling, swimming, dancing, push ups, sit ups, squats, brisk walking and power walking all help for weight loss but dieting helps more.

One of the healthiest weight loss diets is the DASH diet.

The healthy DASH diet can help you lose weight safely and effectively, lower your cholesterol and lower your blood pressure.

It is based on an eating plan rich in fruits and vegetables, and low-fat or non-fat dairy, with whole grains. It is a high fiber, low to moderate fat diet, and is rich in potassium, calcium, and magnesium.

You can see further details in a web search for "dash diet" + "lose weight".
