What is a good meal plan if I want to loose weight?

January 31st, 2013 2 comments

I’m looking on loosing 10 pounds. What’s a good meal plan I can follow to drop weight? Any suggestions on what to eat?

The paleo/primal diet is perfect for weight loss. It involves eating all real foods, no processed foods, no dairy, no grains, and no legumes. It will teach your body how to burn fat instead of carbohydrates and you will loose body fat.

What is the most recommended weight loss pill?

What is a good weight loss pill to take with diet and exercise?

I’m 18 years old, 19 soon. And if you recommend the Acai berry and cleansing pill I will report you. Do not spam my question with scams and cons please. I am very serious about this.
When I said no cons or scams I meant it. PLEASE do not send me marketing scams! I am 100% serious about losing a few inches and I really don’t want to waist money on something that isn’t going to work.

Go to a Fat camp(boot camp programs only) , or get HCG(injections, oral doesn’t work even half as well) and go on a VLCD (very low calorie diet). DO NOT go on a VLCD without a nutritionists help.

*-+WEIGHT LOSS PILLS DO NOT WORK+-*

That or cut all the bad stuff out of your diet.

Good luck! (also don’t buy it off the internet, find a doctor who will help you with HCG, natural remedy type doctors are best.)

Please provide tips or menu ideas for IBS?

Trying to find a suitable diet / recipes for Irritable Bowl Syndrome suffers.

It depends on the sufferers – everyone is different. Some are feeling better on the FODMAP diet, others favor the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, or exclude dairy and gluten and reduce fat. It’s a personal experience. It takes years of trial and error or a tool like Aurametrix to find out much faster which foods and recipes work best, and what the right amount is.

Sample recipes that would likely be safe for most people:

Low-garlic lemon chicken or ginger chicken
Low-sugar dairy-free sweet potatoes
Rice with fresh herbs
Dairy-Free low-sugar gingerbread cake
Peppermint tea

How to Start a Raw Food Diet!

January 30th, 2013 14 comments

Want to start a raw food diet? Now is the time! Here are 10 easy ways that you can start succeeding in living a FullyRaw lifestyle! http://youtu.be/gLHUF8Tw_Dc

Living raw is not about eating a “diet,” it’s about living a healthy LIFESTYLE. It’s about thriving, allowing your foods to nourish your body and send your soul soaring! There are many ways to eat a raw foods diet. Ironically, some of these ways are not healthy at all. Eating FullyRaw focuses on thriving via a low fat raw vegan lifestyle (80/10/10), which emphasizes consuming more fruits and greens than gourmet prepared dishes with nuts or seeds. My diet consists primarily of fruits and greens, which are the most nutrient dense foods. These foods have brought me absolute health, and I want to share my healthy lifestyle with you!

10 Easy Steps to Start Eating a Raw Food Diet:

1. Stock up on Fruits! (Throw out ALL junk and make SURE that you have enough in your house to last you at least a week!)
2. Make your first meal of the day a juice or smoothie. (32-64 oz) Try my Holy Grale, V8 Juice, or Orange Spinach Basil Smoothie! YUM!
3. Make your second meal a huge platter of fruit! Eat all the fruit that you care for and preferably mono-meal. This is the easiest on digestion. Examples of a fruit meal are bananas (7-15), oranges (10-15), pears (8-10), grapes (whole 2 lb bag), apples (7-10), persimmons (10), etc. Gravitate towards sweeter fruits because these have a higher calorie ratio per unit of volume. If you are worried about not being able to eat as much as you need, remember that your stomach is a muscle and that it can expand AND contract when “exercised” properly. Yes, you can eat more expensive fruits (berries, cherries, etc)– it’s personal and monetary preference!
4. For your dinner, eat a small plate of fruit and a large salad! Start with juicy fruits like citrus (5-6 pieces) and end with a GIANT Rainbow Salad. Consume about 1-2 heads of leafy greens if you can. Try my Epic Raw Marinara as a dressing and add whatever veggie toppings you want! Make it colorful and filled with life!
5. Educate yourself! Check out the FAQ page at http://www.fullyraw.com
6. Exercise! Get at least 20 minutes to an hour a day at least!
7. Find a community with whom you can share this blessing! Join a co-op like http://www.rawfullyorganic.com or find a potluck near your via meetup sites like www.meetup.com. You can also post to find others on my facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/fullyrawkristina. You’re not in this alone, and when you have community, you will feel like you have a support team around you all the time! It’s much more fun to have friends with common interests! 🙂
8. Get rest! Sleep! you need recovery time!
9. Eat enough… cronometer until you get used to how much your body needs
10. Be gentle with yourself! Love yourself!

Shattering weight loss plateaus!

January 30th, 2013 24 comments

http://scoobysworkshop.com/2012/06/13/shattering-weight-loss-plateaus/

A lot of people report that they make good progress losing weight at first but then their progress stalls. Lets first look at some of the reasons that your fat loss progress can stop:

1) You have lost weight but not adjusted your caloric intake downward, this is the #1 reason for stalling. Remember that each time you lose 5lbs you need to recalculate your caloric requirements and adjust it downward.

2) The initial rapid ‘weight loss’ was just water loss. When you cut carbs and salt, a lot of water can be shed in the first few weeks. This is not weight loss! Fluctuations in your sodium intake can make wild weight swings.

3) The initial weight loss was because your weight was not measured properly. Even with an accurate scale, your weight can be off by up to 12 pounds! Please see my video on how to weigh yourself accurately.

4) You are too lean already. Your body needs a certain amount of fat (~6% for men, ~12% for women) and attempting to drop below that the body rebels. Lowering bodyfat further without loss of muscle requires tricking the body with something like carb cycling.

5) Your caloric intake is not what you think. You are not calorie counting accurately. You are not weighing/measuring everything or are not taking into account calories hidden in things like condiments and beverages.

6) Your have too drastically cut your calories and are fasting which burns muscle.

When your fat loss has stalled, hit the reset button on your weight loss program! Do the following for four weeks:

1) Use my calorie calculator and set the goal to be a 20% reduction in calories.

2) For two weeks weigh, measure and log every single item you eat and every item you drink and tally the daily calories on the free website www.loseit.com to make sure your daily caloric consumption is on track, they have an iPhone app too if that is more convenient.

3) Measure your weight accurately, every day.

4) Do a good basic resistance training program and at least 20min of daily cardio.

5) Don’t forget to drink lots of water and get enough sleep!

That will get your weight loss back on track. Thats all for this week, auf wideersehen
