So, I’ve been going to the gym a lot lately but not so much dieting. And they kinda just cancel out each other. Also I have softball practice after school every day. So, what would be a good breakfast and some good snacks to eat if you’re trying to diet?

Chicken, turkey, fish, eggs,
Salads without cheese, plenty water, fruits bananas,
Vegetables, fiber geared cereals or honey nut cheerios
Whaetena, oatmeal,

How is it possible that I lost 10 pounds in 7 days without dieting and minimal exercise?

Last week on an accurate scale I weighed 145. Today, I weighed myself at the same time as last week, using the same scale and I weighed 135. I haven’t been dieting. I go to the gym 2 a week and all I do is 30 minutes of cardio and some weightlifting. Should I be concerned about a possible health issue?

See a doctor. Gaining or losing a lot of weight in a short amount of time could mean a thyroid problem.

Can you get a flat stomach with dieting alone?

January 11th, 2013 10 comments

If you keep dieting, will you get a flat stomach eventually or do you absolutely NEED to exercise?

Most people have a layer of fat over their abdominal muscles and this is why they don’t see them. Diet is probably around 80% but exercise is important too. Swiss ball exercises will strengthen your core muscles which support your internal organs and posture. Sit ups or other ab exercises will improve the look of your stomach muscles once you uncover them. A mixture of cardio and resistance training will help you do this more quickly. Train the big muscles like the legs, chest and back to burn most calories as this will burn fat from the stomach area too. Spot training won’t work. Hope this helps.

But instead of telling me how stupid I am, please can someone tell me what i can do not to put it all back on again? And maybe sugget a better diet? Thanks!

No matter how hard you try your weight will eventually go back on after such extreme dieting! Sorry!

I’m going to Cali on soon and I am about 40 pounds overweight. I have been dieting and exsersizing with no results. I know there are alot of useless uneffective diet pills and I’m just wondering if anyone can suggest any that are safe and actually show results.

Hiya, In my line of work, it is easy to comfort eat, especially when there’s a deadline to meet and you’re under lots of stress. Finding time for the gym or cooking healthy food was not something I ever really found time to think about. I had never even realised that I’d become so large until someone I knew well, who I hadn’t seen me for a while no longer knew who I was.

Premium Acai Slim has just given me that added help and support to know that I can now lose and maintain my weight. Losing weight has made me feel so much more confident and I really go out of my way, to ensure I stay healthier, through my diet, healthy exercise and by taking Premium Acai Slim. Why should you avoild eating grains when dieting?

December 30th, 2012 4 comments

I’ve heard from some people that you should avoid eating grains when dieting. Why is that?

They have more starch which means more carbs… though carbs are good for you too much can make you gain weight. You dont have to completely cut it from your diet but you dont want to live off of them either… a healthy balance should be good for anyone 🙂 hope i helped 🙂

How much can overeating ruin your diet?

December 28th, 2012 4 comments

I’ve been dieting the past few weeks, exercising a bit, and noticed results. However, yesterday I took took the day off, and had many unhealthy foods rounding up to probably around 3500 calories. I ate ~2000 before. How much weight do I gain out of this and how much does this ruin my diet?

3,500 calories in a pound. so you put on less than a half pound. It probably cancelled out more than one day of diet and exercise though.

Hi,

I am always impressed that there is oftentimes some good advice and good links from people helping others through Yahoo_Answers.

After reading your question I saw you might be interested in optimizing your nutrition [(-:] so even though I may not answer your question exactly as you may have wanted it answered, I thought I would take the time to pass on some pointers I have learned the hard way from my own bad ‘uninformed’ choices, so you could learn about good advice and bad advice about good nutritional choices.

After having many bad health problems from listening to people who knew very little about the consequences of choosing LOW nutritional statistics, I really-really encourage you to learn from good nutritionists what to eat for a life time. [See below]

My best to you and to your future health,
A1

I have learned what I now know after my own lengthy research efforts to improve my health – after ‘FINALLY’ listening to unbiased researching nutritionists. I have shared extensively concerning the most critical nutritional statistics that are common to us all at: <> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091005174358AAgZawf
<>

Also, the only ranking I have ever found to be helpful for me for various foods was from Dr. Fuhrman’s work. I modified his list and posted it at <> http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091016160457AAkysKW

Lastly, after all my previous health problems due to following a-lot of bad advice, I can now understand the frustrations of other health researchers in the following quote within “The China Study” by T Colin Campbell pg 1: >>==>

“Even though information and opinions are plentiful, very few people truly know what they should be doing to improve their health.”

“This isn’t because the research hasn’t been done. It has. But the real science has been buried beneath a clutter of irrelevant or even harmful information – junk science, fad diets and food industry propaganda.”
