How can I cook chicken on a stove without using oil?

November 24th, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

I need diet recipes, preferably Indian.
I have a non stick pan.
I want my chicken to be a bit dry.

"Honey" how can I use it to cook?

Can you get non-stick pan spray where you live? If so, you can brown the chicken with just that sprayed on your pan, then add a little liquid (water works great) to simmer the chicken in. This works with many different types of recipes. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with Indian ones.

You can always steam your chicken. Wash, put in a pan with seasoning, sliced onions, and enough water to halfway cover chicken, put lid on and steam it. Good Luck!

Brown it with some low-fat margarine and then add some liquid (chicken stock, sauce, or even juices like orange, etc.) and let it simmer until it cooks through. Enjoy!

    easy-
boneless, skinless chicken tenders or breast
season them with whatever you like. I’m Rican so I like Adobo goya (it’s an all purpose seasoning)
Then you can use pam spray or nothing at all.
put the heat on medium/medium low and cook on each side for 15-20 minutes flipping it only once.

The key to keep the heat not too high or you will burn the outside and not cook the inside or you will over cook the chicken and it will come out dry.

This is how I cook my chicken every week and it taste great.

    Good luck =}

I never use non stick pans… they are bad bad for you. But… I digress…

Poaching is a great way to cook chicken. I use any kind of liquid depending on what flavour I am going for. Sometimes I just use water sometimes juice fruit or vegetable,
Add whatever spices and herbs you like. My basic is usually water and/or white wine with garlic, onions and celery and then … get creative. It always creates a nice moist chicken.

Well the best way would be to cut up the chicken, paste a curry or chilli dressing over the pieces, wrap in tin foil, and bake in oven. You could do it on top of stove with a baking paper. We hardly ever use oil. What we do is to cook chicken pieces in the microwave for about 10 mins. Then put on baking paper in fry pan, and cook chicken.Try allrecipes.com

slice some boneless, skinless chicken breast into small strips and season with curry powder, sage, basil and a little salt and pepper

put the chicken in a steamer tray and put into a large covered pot with a cup of water. steam for about 20 minutes (important to keep checking to make sure the water doesn’t all dry up – so add more if needed and use moderate to low heat)

serve this with freshly steamed vegetables like carrots, cauliflower or green beans
