What is the best way to loose 1 1/2 stone by September?

December 16th, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

I currently weigh 10st 7lbs but I’m only 5′ 3" so it really shows. I was always 9st pre pregnancy. I can’t afford to go to a gym and don’t seem to have enough time to exercise, plus I find exercise very boring. I want to get back to my pre pregnancy weight to feel healthy again as I’m feeling bloated and lethargic at the moment.
I do try to eat healthily but seem to get so tired I have to have a sugar boost and weight doesn’t naturally drop off.
Any help and adivce would be great. I don’t have time or money to create lavish dishes from a diet recipe book.
Please help. I don’t want a quick fix. I want the weight to stay off and I’m quite prepared for it to take a few months.
Thanx in advance.
Dawn.

I’ve answered this question a few times before on Answers, but I’m happy to say it again – Slimming World.

Normal healthy living and eating didn’t really work well enough for me, but one and a half years ago I tried Slimming World and lost over three stone in just less than a year! I know it sounds corny, and I was a true skeptic before then, but what can I say? It works! I don’t quite know how or why, but I feel better now than I have done in years. I went from size 18/ 20 to 12/ 14 and have kept it off. I am now the weight I was when I first got married ten years ago and had not seen on the scales since then!!

It’s definately acheivable. And because it’s normal food, just different combinations, the whole family can do it and it’s completely safe. I am sticking with this as a lifestyle change rather than a diet because I struggled for so long, like you, and now I’ve found something that works, I don’t want to lose it!

Why don’t you go to www.slimming-world.co.uk to find out where your nearest group is.

I don’t actually go to the sessions anymore, but still stick closely to the plan. It’s been a year and I have maintained, no problem. I stay motivated because I know where I was and I’m not going back there! I never thought anything could do it, but I did and you could too! All the best to you!

Eat smaller portions and take a brisk walk each day.

Eat just a little less fatty stuff and go for long walks, swimming is a very good all round exercise as well. It is healthier to lose weight gradually, and exercise is the best way and you do not need to hurt yourself for it to work, JUST KEEP AT IT!
Most people do not, therefore nothing seems to work.
    Hang in there Good Luck

    1/joint a gym
2/get a cardio program from a fitness instructor on 70%
3/refrain from eatin sweets including all sweets crisp and fizzy drinks
    4/no eating after 8pm latest
    5/go swiming twice a week
    6/ join a aerobics class
7/drink soya milk instead of full cream
8/ refrain from eating chicken skin because it has alot of fat.
and lastly theres no harms in spoiling yourself on the weekends

4 words – eat less do more! There is no magic, no quick fix and not much hope of sustained weight loss without vigorous regular exercise. This is why, without it 2 in 3 ‘ dieters ‘ end up gaining weight. We are what we eat, but these days we are even more what we don’t do!
