How do I add more calories to my diet without gaining weight?

I have been dieting for 6 weeks now. I have lost 16 pounds so far. About 26 more to go, so i’m figuring about 3 more months then. But my question is, that once I reach my goal, how do I add calories back into my diet, so that I can stop losing weight & balance my diet back out, but at the same time, not gain weight either?

Calories, calories…
Here’s how it works.

If your body requires exactly 2000 calories to stay at the same weight, eating this much will keep you at the same weight.

Eating more or less will result in weight gain/weight loss.

Roughly 3500 excess calories will result in 1 pound of weight gain.

Say you eat 2700 calories a day for a week, that results in 3500 more than you needed for that week and that is 1 pound of weight gain.

You can’t really add more calories to your diet and expect it to not have any effect.

Sorry I couldn’t come up with a solution to your problem. Good luck with your goals.

add 100 per week until you reach your maintenance calories. you may even want to start when you are about 2-3 pounds from your goal. depends on how far under maintenance you have been eating regularly.

Try to incorporate seeds and nuts. High in calories but also HIGH in nutrients like fiber, iron, vitamins a,e etc . Try to eat a small handfull a day and before you know it your taking in more calories without gaining weight.
