What are some good foods to eat while dieting?

So, I’ve been going to the gym a lot lately but not so much dieting. And they kinda just cancel out each other. Also I have softball practice after school every day. So, what would be a good breakfast and some good snacks to eat if you’re trying to diet?

Chicken, turkey, fish, eggs,
Salads without cheese, plenty water, fruits bananas,
Vegetables, fiber geared cereals or honey nut cheerios
Whaetena, oatmeal,

    -cereal(there are specific ones)
    -fruits (apple)
    -avoid white bread, grain ones are better
