What is the best diet plan you have followed?

November 30th, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

I need a diet plan to kick start a weight loss diet and exercise programme. I plan to follow a diet plan then return to healthy eating when I have lost some weight. I was wondering about slim fast but are there any better suggestions?

Thanks

well i have to say cut done on carbohydrates(pasta’spuds rice’bread) and alcohol if you drink. My husdand was diagnoised with diabetes and his nurse advised on the above to help control his sugar level and to help control weight. So i tried it and lost a stone in weight with no extra excerise and have the above foods in moderation.Hope this is some use.

slimfast, I have been doing slimfast and it is the best. They have been around the longest and they work….I have already lost 5 pounds. go to slimfast.com it will tell you everything and they will even send you a book. The people at slimfast seem to really care.

I exercise and eat healthily, seems to work for me. I’ve never been on a diet. Of course I have the odd takeaway and chockie bar now and then, but generally reach for fruit, yoghurt and nuts to snack on.

I don’t think diets work, I’ve seen many friends fail on them, try a full eating lifestyle change and don’t diet, just make the right eating choices…. you know what they are.

    Water,

Sometimes it’s hard to control one’s appetite,
I always make sure that i have a serving of soup and a glass of water first before devouring my dinner, that way i won’t be eating too much

One of the best diets out there is the south beach diet. Because of this i lost 15lbs already. If you but the book it comes with the recipes you needed and there are phases which help you kick start to weight loss

Not a diet but healthy eating plan – G Plan was excellent and I’ve kept it going for two years – never felt better or healthier. Diets are no good for long-term health or weight loss

In a pub brawl my jaw has been broken so after two operation I couldn’t eat normally for a month.
I just ate milk with bread in it and soups. I lost 7kg in 3 weeks without doing any special excercise 🙂

I used the "special K" diet and lost 60 lbs in 6 months, I stayed pretty much with it, and have kept the weight off. This diet works for me because, you eat 2 bowls of "special K" (B’fast & Lunch) with 2 healthy veggie or fruit snacks during the day, at night you caome home to a NORMAL sized balanced dinner, so you have something to look forward to at the end of the day, not just rabbit food. It’s tough but, you are TOUGHER, and it’s such a nice feeling when I catch a woman checking me out in the supermarket, made it all worth it !
    References :
Avoid ALL sugars and Refined carbs (bread, pasta etc.) to speed up the process, it’s like "Turbo-Charging" the diet ! take a good vitamin as well since you are lowering food intake, and nutrition, serve lot’s of fresh veggies for dinner, I don’t like veggies, so I put Garlic, and olive oil on them with a fresh Lemon wedge, and a pinch of "Locatelli" brand Romano cheese

Slim fast may be good – I have never tried it but i get the feeling you may be hungry doing it. I did slimming world and although not vastly overweight (when I did it) I was 10 stone I found it really easy to loose 3lbs a week. I did it about 3 years ago and have weighed 8 1/2 ever since and never put it back on. You get to eat loads and don’t really have to cut anything out.

    NUTRI SYSTEM

I’m tellin ya, it so easy, no cooking, no starving, i lost 30 pounds in 2 months. you get to eat breakfast lunch dinner and dessert everyday. its not a diet its a portion controlled meal system, it teaches you to get the satisfaction from the proper servings of food, I am telling you this works. It might look expensive but it actually works out to about 10 bucks a day. or you can get the weekends-off plan for like 5 dollars a day and you just have to find healthy things to eat on the weekend…

Slim Fast is the worst diet plan out there. Any diet that advicates reducing your calorie intake that much.. Is bad for your health…….Please read on:

You must have Breakfast as this kick starts your metabolism.
Then you have Lunch and Dinner. But the secret to longterm weight loss is having 3 snacks throught the day.

You need to eat every 3-4 hours….

    Please see my email below.

ATTENTION: TIME WASTERS WILL BE IGNORED/BLOCKED.

Good luck and get back to me asap. Lots to discuss..

I work for an md. I have so many ppl come in with that same question. I have to tell you that after seeing the effects of most diets, I think that the best one yet is Weight Watchers. I’ve noticed that most ppl on their plan have the most weight loss and are able to keep the most off for the longest time. The doctors even recommend it. Good luck w/whatever you pick!

GIVE UP THE ADDICTION OF MEALS
Give up meals. Seriously. Every morning pack one medium container of balanced healthy food: veggies, protein, some flourless bread, quinoa, kale, bok choy, berries, like that. And nibble lightly throughout the day. Do this for 6 weeks.

OBSESSION WITH WHAT TO EAT – BAD
Most failed dieters are weirdly obsessed with what they eat, how much, getting to the next feeding! Give up the concept that you are looking forward to a meal.

HALF THE WORLD IS DYING FROM OVEREATING, HALF IS DYING FROM UNDERNOURISHMENT
Get a large poster of seriously skinny Ethiopian farmer children and think about how bloated Westerners are by comparison. Imagine your life with half a cup of rice and one kiwi per day AND you are doing 12 hours of back-breaking work. That should keep you focused on eating light.

NOTE TO SPECIAL K DUDE: Good for your short term loss but do you realize that SPECIAL K cereal is full of sugar (US/UK) and high fructose corn syrup (US) and way oberprocessed grains and that all that encourages metabolic syndrome, unhealthy carb cravings, more? And with the fruit, that’s a lot of sugar! You may not feel it noe but whn you are 55 and in line for Glucophage, good luck! Fresh organic veggies etc and organi are waaaayy better for you.

I will advice you to do more exercise. I was 15 stone and now 12. I used to do maximum exercise. I would not recommend you to have any chemical medicine, but you could have some natural supplements to burn fat. I honestly used apple cider vinegar and it works a bit. If you are from the UK than you can buy it from http://www.simplysupplements.co.uk because they are I think the cheapest one.

Try a cleansing diet! I did and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in only 9 days. I was very happy with the results and continued on the program and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. This is the fastest I have ever lost with other diets like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Medifast, Slimfast etc…. Cleansing works by removing impurities from your body. You get impurities from your food (pesticides, preservatives, food additives, colorings) water, chemicals, pollution, medications, alcohol, hormones that the animals you eat were fed etc….YUCK! The impurites get coated with fat and remain in your body. To remove the fat, you have to remove the impurites. This system worked for me, maybe it can work for you too. You can check out the website or call this toll free number 1-877-587-4647 for more info. The program is not cheap, but it is worth every penny since it works and keeps you motivated. Good luck! The best diet plan is one you make yourself. It’s all about small changes that become lifestyle changes – both nutritional and exercise.

There are as many opinions as people.

In mi opinion the Glixemic Index is the best way to diet and eat healthy at the same time.

Check it out for yourself. Just search through Internet, there is plenty of information about it.
