What are the Georgia State meal plans like?

November 12th, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

I’m planning on going to georgia state in the spring and i was wondering if it’s worth it to get the meal plan. I’m a vegetarian and i don’t want to waste my money on something i can’t even eat! and i saw on the georgia state website that they have a salad bar. but that would get boring after the first few days..

so i guess my question is, are there any vegetarian options on the georgia state meal plan?

GSU only offers the unlimited meal plan, but its VERY expensive. If you are living in the Commons or Lofts, I suggest you just buy your own food(and prepare it yourself).. sure you’d have to spend more time, but you would know what you were eating and it wouldn’t be near as expensive. But if you’re staying at the Freshmen dorms, the meal plan is already included.

And if you’re commuting.. again, just buy your own food.

here are the different places you can eat but almost everything is focused more on the students that eat meat.
Salad is always the easiest choice, but it will get boring.
In my opinion, the meal plan gets boring anyways (even if you eat meat). If you have a choice, I would say skip the meal plan and get a pre-loaded card with money that you can use on campus for those days when you have to eat on campus.
