How many dieters go to a doctor before they start their diet?

I need some statistics on dieters and they approach their diets. Any good websites were I can find these kind of statistics? By age? how many people crash diet and things like that?

Probably less than 1%, unless they go to ask for diet pills.

Is there any easy weight loss that does not involved work out?

I know work out is good for weight loss but I am a lazy person that do not like to move a lot.Is there any food,drink or pills that can help me out of this?I am very sad for my weight now.(158Kg)

Well….I couldn’t agree that a healthy weight loss does not involved without workout.
By the way, here’s some way that to those who does not have time or lazy to workout.
There simple method:
1)Try some coffee.Coffee is a good stuff for dieters.1-2cup a day would be enought and not too much it might harm your health.
2)Sleep early.Sleeping on time is a must for dieters.Sleeping time not accurately would cause a harmful weight problems to you.
3)Move abit after everymeal.I highly recommended you guys move at least 5-10min after every meal.Those who are overweight problems probably have a long sitting time on chair.So avoid these mistakes.

By the way,for my passed experience workout with combine taking neutral diet pills(Zotrim) and take healthy meal would be a great option for dieters.(Don’t try to skip meals it might cause more weight to you)

How do low carb diets work if they’re high in fat?

I have been reading up on diets like the Atkins diet, and other low carb diets that people seem to love. My concern is that many of the foods that we are supposed to eat are really high in fat. Also, no milk? I thought dieters always stressed having lots of dairy in their diet.

Dairy can include cheese, yogurt, butter, etc. Milk is high in lactose (another type of sugar)

A high carb diet puts the body into "storage" mode which does not allow the fat stores to be released even if the body is not actively storing fat.

Dietary fats replace carbs for the body’s fuel source in a low carb diet. To keep the body in top fat burning condition, you must eat sufficient calories & they can only come from dietary fats for the body to properly release excess fat stores.

Low carb doesn’t work by starving the body but allowing it to function normally & a normal body doesn’t have excessive fat stores. So when it is in "normal" mode, it releases excess fat stores. A high carb diet forces the body to override normal systems. Carbs >9g per hour trigger insulin & when insulin dominates the blood stream, they don’t allow some other hormones to function properly.

Im at about 17 percent body fat and im 20 years old. I am doing interval training now and i was wondering what diet would be best to start showing abs? would a low carb diet work? or a 1500 calorie diet? or any advice from people below 10 percent what diet gets results the fastest thanks!

Make sure that though your are getting less calories, you are also getting plenty of protein. I suggest that you eat lean meat like chicken, grass fed beef, and pastured pork. Those are food with high nutrient content but can give you plenty of protein to help you develop muscles. Also grass fed meats are rich in CLA, an essential fatty-acid that helps burn fat while increasing muscle mass.

Can Low to No Carb Diets be Dangerous to Your Health? –

The healthy, yet high carb, traditional Japanese style diet would be contraindicated under the Atkins plan.  A major problem, in our view, is that the most popular of reduced carbohydrate approaches, the Atkins diet, is an ad lib diet with recommendations only to minimize carbohydrate intake .

One claim that Atkins makes is that his diet is good for the heart.  Atkins recommended “vegetarian sources of fat and protein,” not how much. Atkins advocated his diet for more than 30 years and stated that more than 60,000 patients treated at his center have used his diet as their primary protocol. However, he never published any study in which people who used his program were monitored over a period of several years.

Atkins relies heavily on proteins and fats, along with carbohydrates that are rich in nutrients. The idea is to strictly reduce the amount of non-nutritious carbohydrates you consume.

I know a couple of people who gave up the Atkins Diet just because he says to stop drinking coffee! I am telling you – coffee will help your weight loss efforts. The Atkins diet claims to clear up all manner of ailments, but the bottom line is these diets are lacking in nutrients essential for good health and the high level of protein puts a huge strain on your kidneys.

Eating less than 40 grams of carbohydrate a day may induce ketosis. And we mentioned the underdeveloped world, [which] tends to be low-fat, high-carbohydrate, also does well. Choosing to go the low or no carb route could lead to missing the benefits of whole grain, the other carbohydrates.

When carbohydrates are reintroduced in the diet, the water weight is regained. There is no quick and easy weight to lose weight; it’s basically a question of calories taken in versus calories burned.

Most dieters do not understand the potentially dangerous side effects of low-/no-carbohydrate diets. A low carbohydrate diet can lead to constipation, which slows weight loss. Consuming too much protein places extra stress on the liver and kidneys because they have to metabolize and excrete more than normal amounts of waste products.. Due to extensive publicity, low carb diets have become increasingly popular. However there is considerable ambiguity over exactly what is low carbohydrate.

The B vitamins found in whole grains are vital for the metabolism of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. Selenium and magnesium are minerals needed in only trace amounts. Selenium acts as an antioxidant and helps to prevent heart disease and cancer. Magnesium helps to keep bones strong as well as promote normal nerve and muscle function.

Lifestyle diets include vegetarianism and veganism and both are growing in popularity. Vegetarians omit all meat products from their diets, limiting available sources of protein. Protein’s best-known role is that of the body’s building blocks, but it also plays a role in digestion and maintaining the immune system. Basically, every living cell and most fluids in the body contain protein. It is what the body uses to build and regenerate itself. Vegans eliminate not just meat from their diets, but all animal products, including eggs and milk. Not only are they faced with a potential lack of protein, but they must also find other sources calcium. Calcium is known for building strong bones and teeth. Fat loss diets with prepackaged food are popular because of their simplicity. With meals being provided for you, there’s no more guess work. Jenny Craig is the most popular diet in this category. The plan seems easy, simply eat the food and lose weight right? Don’t get too excited from those commercials featuring Queen Latifhah, Kristie Allie and Valerie Bertinelli. While these celebrities talk about the pros of fat loss diets like Jenny Craig, they rarely mention the cons…namely cost!

Judging from what most dieters have to say about fat loss diets like Jenny Craig, it’s almost tantamount to going into a used car dealership. Leigh, a young woman who tried the program, said she would not recommend fat loss diets similar to Jenny Craig “I found the sales staff to be absolutely RELENTLESS with the up sells.” Although she was already shelling out over $500 a month for food, the Counselors (more likes Salespeople) would try to bombard her with extra items like vitamins, exercise tapes, etc.

Leigh says it was impossible to buy just what she needed and nothing more. “You MUST order ALL the food or they give you a song and dance about not losing as much weight and not being prepared.” So much for an easy diet plan! Leigh says fat loss diets are already stressful enough, now she had the added stress of guarding her wallet! “The sessions were nothing more than an opportunity to pressure you into buying more stuff. It took more energy with every visit to get just what I wanted to order. It was ridiculous!”

The last straw came when she started finding extra charges on her food orders. $10-$15 per visit. Leigh decided to bypass dealing with the counselors and just order from Jenny direct, this way her food could come to her home. Imagine her reaction when the first food order arrived with six bottles of vitamins, another food order mistake. This time the cost was a whopping $52 extra! Leigh ended up quitting the program. After 4 months of calls to Jenny Craig’s customer service department and the better business bureau, she still hasn’t gotten her money back.

For some dieters, the cost of fat loss diets with prepackaged meals are just too much. “What if you have a family?” Says Julia, a single mother of three, who decided not to go on Jenny Craig. “I already spend $400 a month on groceries for me and the kids. Now I have to spend an extra $500 on top of that for Jenny Craig food? That’s money I could put in savings!”

Even if you can afford the Jenny Craig program, there’s another problem with these type of fat loss diets… What happens when you stop eating the food? Angela, another dieter, actually lost 40 pounds. Unfortunately she says “The minute I started eating regular foods again, my weigh started creeping back. I would not recommend this diet to anyone. Eating a balanced diet with healthy real food is much more sensible.”
