How effective is drinking water with lemon, when it comes to weight loss?
It is told that lemon water helps with weight loss, but how effective is it? Not the detox diet, but just drinking lemon water throughout the day, how much weight could you possibly lose in a week? In a month? I am curious to know how effective it really is in losing weight.

Lemon has no effect on weight loss – it just gives the water a better taste. What you are really doing is partially filling your stomach with water, which displaces food that you are about to eat. You feel full sooner into the meal, cutting back on your consumption of calories, fat and food in general.

I can’t think of a single reason why that would help you lose weight, unless you’re filling up on water and eating less. Think about it. If this were true, there would be no more obesity. Everyone would just throw some lemon in their water, and everyone would be thin, and obesity wouldn’t be an epidemic in America.
The only thing that produces effective weight loss is burning more calories than you put in your mouth. That means you have to diet and exercise. There are no magic secrets. Sorry.

I heard the same thing so I started drinking lemon water throughout the day.
I lost about 20 pounds in 2 months on top of excessive workout and dieting. The reason I lost a lot of weight with this is because the lemon gives water a good taste which makes you want to drink it more and drinking water throughout the day is a really healthy diet

Adding lemon juice to water is just a matter of personal taste. A trick to losing weight with water is to drink it cold. The body has no use for cold water so to make it a usable substance the body has to burn energy to warm it. Thus comes the weight loss.
