My Weight Loss Journey

November 14th, 2012 Leave a comment Go to comments

Hi! So here is the list of important pointers! 😀 Ladies, I just want to mention that there will be people who will put your methods down but if your body is telling you that youre feeling healthy, keep it up! Remember that jealousy comes out in many forms and stay motivated 😀

1. Proportion your food and count calories!
2. Don’t starve
3. No munchies
4. Have self control
5. Not too much sugar or salt
6. Drink mainly water
7. Find an exercise routine that will work for you

Disclaimer: I am NOT a professional so this is what works for me. Again, I do mention that I am not a healthy eater 🙂 I just do what works for me and I am not starving myself. As I mention in the video starving your body is the worst thing.

    im not that serious …
im not that serious about my getting healthy that i need to see a doctor or get into all the research and facts..im just doing what works for me and my body tells me that 800 – 900 is not low..so should i listen to research or to my body? since im a college student all i do is sit at my desk..most of the time i? just eat because i havent eaten, not because im hungry..if you will check with weight loss formulas, 800 is what someone with my height/physical activity should be eating to lose weight..

    But you? surely can …
But you? surely can see a doctor or buy a magazine that holds those informations. Your intake of 800-900 calories a day is way too low, you are not doing your body a favor.

    9) Magazines like …
    9) Magazines like Men’s Health offer a lot of useful information. No, there is no reason why women should not work? out like men do ! No worries, the female body won’t gain tons of muscles from it.
    10) If in any doubt, consult your doctor, nutritionist and/or personal trainer.

(This list is not complete but I hope it helps lots of you to get started)

    4) Exercise: do …
    4) Exercise: do some cardio but don’t forget to lift weights ! You have to, otherwise your body “eats” them
    5) Do proper weight lifting. 3 sets of 8-10 moves with heavy weights (read: really tough to do the last 1-2 moves) is better than 20 with low weights.
    6) 500 crunches won’t do much, do planks instead. 1 minute is lots already !
    7) Train all your muscles, not only arms? or stomach. It is impossible to aim for losing weight on a particular spot !
    8) Important: train stomach AND back!

    Ok, after watching …
Ok, after watching this I feel I want to give another comment. Healthy weight loss in a nutshell:
    1) find out how many calories your body needs to keep up basic functions and how much you “burn” in a day (based on weight, gender, age, your lifestyle. Yes, include work and sports !)
    2) With your calorie intake, stay between? those two numbers
    3) Go on a balanced diet. Count calories to get an idea of how much you eat. Tip: reserve some calories for candy or similar (i.e. 1 piece of chocolate:day)

    That ! Never EVER …
That ! Never EVER have a calorie input that is less of what your body needs to maintain basic functions ! It starts eating your muscles to survive and as soon as you eat a little more your body clings to that and creates? more fat because it thinks “better fat but prepared for the next time there is so little food coming in”. Please, EVERYONE, EDUCATE yourselves before dieting ! See a doctor, talk to a nutritionist and/or a a personal trainer ! I cannot stress this enough !

    stir fried is …
stir fried is common in some ethnicities? but its also a very optional choice, it can broth,

boiled, i think what people mean by asian food being healthier is because we are so keen on eating vegetables where some cultures have a lot of red meat and yes even large proportions of fried dishes, fat boiling, etc, asians eat spices, greens and meat is really just supposed to be a garnish to the vegetables
