What is the best program for weight loss?

January 21st, 2013 Leave a comment Go to comments

I want to lose from 20-25 pounds. I had planned to do this at the end of the summer. Got distracted and can’t remember which weight loss plans I had found. Would like suggestions from any Yahoo people.

Criteria of a Good Weight Loss Program:

If you want to lose some weight, it is not necessary to take natural weight loss pills and supplements. The ugly side effect from taking weight loss pills may outweigh the benefit. The whole idea of a successful weight loss program is to approach it in a realistic manner without compromising your overall health. The following are some of the criteria of a good weight loss program.

• Without using any diet pills or supplements. Although a few type of diet pills have been approved by FDA but there were cases at a point in time, the FDA have approved a drug that is certified safe for the public but later recalls it back when there is a new finding that the drug is not safe in the long term.

• The weight loss program is affordable by all and don’t need to pay a monthly fees to use it. In contrast to diet pills regime where you need to buy it on a regular basis and the amount of lose weight will reversed back once you stop consuming it.

• The weight loss program must prove to be effective in the short and long-term, without need to endure starvation and without any daily athletic workout. (But taking a light exercise every few days is highly recommended).

Since 2005 I have tried reducing my weight using most of the so-called popular weight loss program from the internet but with no avail until I meet the weight loss program that’s finally worked for me with all the above criteria. I’m confident that it will work for you too.

Every time you want to eat, instead of reaching for breads, cereals, etc., reach for a piece of protein, such as slice of lean ham. Allow yourself to eat plenty of protein and drink some water with it. Eat lots of green veggies such as lettuce and brocolli, but just go very low on the carbs and exercise more.

The pattern for losing weight is easy – eat less food and workout more – the difficulties surface when we really try to put that into practice! There are loads of temptations in the big wide world aren’t there?! I uncovered some excellent information by visiting the web portal in the box below, they have loads of guidance, I lost 10 pounds by using their methods.

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace .com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

Have you considered the Herbalife weightloss product line? I used the shake and supplement product (still do) and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. You can order the products directly from the site and they actually have packaged programs for specific weightloss needs. Hope that helps!

    Hey Shannon,

I too am a bit overweight. My target loss was to lose about 15 pounds before Thanksgiving and I ran and ran, did the sweating and stuff, didnt work. For women, Proactol def. worked for me and my PTA moms….LOL. Its a very very effective method for losing weight and from my own personal experience, def. works.

Hi! For me the best way to lose weight was to make quite a few little ‘life style’ changes. Once you get used to the changes it becomes the easiest way to lose weight or maintain weight. Here are a few of the best i’v come across.

Drink diet soda and water instead of the normal sugar full drinks.

Drink your tea/coffee black with no sugar

Get some good scales and weigh yourself daily. If you put on weight try and reailse what you did wrong and dont do it again. Equally if you lose weight congratulate yourself and keep going!

Each morning imagine what you want to look like to motivate your self.

If you drive eveywhere, try and park further away from places you go to than you normally would and walk a bit instead.

If you take the bus, get off a stop earlier than usual and walk.

Do not buy processed or fast food. By fresh foods and cook your own meals.

Eat four smaller meals each day instead of three. Spread them out evenly. This will keep your metabolism going most of the day.

Drink 8 glasses of water a day. It will help your weight loss and your body function. Your are 60%+ water and it is your best friend when trying to lose weight.

    Eat your meals slowly.

Eat fruit when you are hungry or as a snack

    Eat plenty of fiber

For more tips try the link in the resource box as that is all i can think of right now. Keep at it and the 25 pounds will come off easily (but maybe not quickly) Best of luck!

    Hi Shannon,

I was in your situation like 2-3 years ago. I tried to lose around 30lbs, but just kept getting distracted. Basically all the methods that other posters have posted are doable and recommended, so I won’t repeat them again. However, my twist in those methods is that I normally accompany them with some supplemental product. Don’t confuse, though. I’m not telling you to take diet pills, in fact I’m totally against it! What you should try is Green Tea, especially the kind that specializes in helping people losing weight. They are natural herbs, so they won’t hurt you in any way. For example, check out the website tinyurl.com/5dhaph Of course it’s not the only product line that you should use, but I’ve had personal success with it 🙂

    Hope this helps you somewhat.

Okay…if you want to lose weight permanently you should avoid going on a diet. Diets will deliver weight loss, but the weight will come back again…guess this is not what you want!

Permanent weight loss is about making change. The easiest way to do this is to learn new habits – you may get some ideas below. It’s not difficult, in fact it can be an empowering process..

    Hope this was helpful

The most commonly known weight loss programs available in America include Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, eDiets and Nutrisystem. However they are not always the same. Some programs such as Weight Watchers may ask you to visit their centers for regular meetings, while others such as Nutrisystem encourage you to work on losing weight at the comfort of your home. Some may promise a fast weight loss while other focus on setting a realistic weight loss goal.

Forget exercise…that’s right…forget exercise as a means to lose weight. The purpose of exercise is to gain/maintain muscle fitness. Running hard for one solid hour burns 500 calories. Except for temporary water loss, that equates to only 1/7th of a pound since it takes burning 3500 calories to lose ONE pound. At a 10 minute pace, are you willing to run 42 miles to lose one pound?!?!

THE ONLY WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT IS TO REDUCE CALORIE INTAKE. You need to determine your calorie requirement and eat less than that. (I’ve had good luck with one called fitday.com and it’s free.) I imagine you to be a young female and should be shooting for 2000 calories/day or less. The easiest way to start is to eliminate junk calories which have a high glycemic index like sugars, fried foods, potatoes, alcohol, etc. Not only do they provide little nutrition, they raise your insulin level, thus making you more hungry…so you eat more.
